On the 21st of March, Principal Amy Prifti was invited to the Creative Expo to demonstrate creative make-up.
Held at the Havant & South Downs College in Hampshire, this event celebrated creativity across the Southern region and brought together a mix of businesses, creatives and students to network, showcase and be inspired. The Expo is made for creative businesses featured live entertainment and workshops, inspiring seminars, an art and design gallery featuring work from established and up and coming artists, creative demonstrations and 2 speed networking sessions.
Sussex Make-up Academy had the opportunity to be there for two demonstrations on a 3D make-up. Amy created a beautiful look inspired by spring on her lovely model, Shannon Pagee. As you can see on the photos, the 3D effect is mostly present on the hair and on some parts of the face, thanks to colourful paper butterflies that were stuck on. The look was created using also gold leaf, real flowers and gems that allowed Amy to really express her creativity for this demonstration.
The look was only partly created on stage, Amy worked on her model before the first demonstration and between the two, that way she was able to show and explain the most important steps in front of the audience.
The Havant & South Downs College is offering formation in make-up artistry therefore the Creative Expo was a great opportunity to show and explain what is creative make-up, as well as letting creative people know about our academy and all the courses and masterclasses that we are offering.
Sussex Make-up Academy was re-transmitting its demonstrations live that day, both on Facebook and Instagram.
